The FM would expand the number of EU protected designations of pálinkas
In Hungary 8 pálinkas are under EU designation. The Ministry of Agriculture is seeking to steadily expand their numbers – the Minister of Agriculture said on Tuesday in Budapest in the Parliament, at this year's pálinka country tasting’s announcement of results.
Fazekas Sándor pointed out that last year's amendment to the Pálinka Act was the result of a long and thorough professional preparation work. As a result the Pálinka National Council was turned to a public body on 30 March this year. The public body is dealing with quality and origin protection, market access, promotion and protection.
