Abundant supply of fish for Christmas

This year's Christmas fish supply is abundant both in quality and quantity. One kilogram of  the carp depending on the sales places is around 550 to 900 forints – said Németh István, President of  the Hungarian Fish Farmers Association (Mahal), to MTI.

The price per kilo of carp during the year is around 800-1100 HUF, but during the period of the Christmas actions some chain of stores are selling the fish with losses. The crucian and the carp is around is around  480 forints per kilogram, while the catfish and pike are sold for about 1700 to 2000 forints – reports MTI.
