Wine grape vintage can be excellent this year
Less than expected wine grapes have been harvested, but it looks like this year’s will be an excellent vintage – Légli Ottó, president of the National Council for Mountains, adding to structural problems in the domestic wine sector.
Last year’s abundant crop, which, moreover, yielded no outstanding quality, accumulated high through-stocks, causing tension to start this year’s harvest, said Otto Légli, president of the National Council for Mountains (HNT). Estimates prior to grape harvesting ranged from 4.5 to 4.8 million cubic meters of crop, and recent data show that actual grape production will be reduced by up to 10 percent. (vg.hu)
