Morrisons launches planet-friendly eggs
Morrisons is the first supermarket to launch a line of carbon-neutral eggs, as part of the retailer’s pledge to be directly supplied by zero emission British farms by 2030. The planet-friendly eggs are laid by hens kept on a soya-free diet, including insects fed on food waste from Morrisons’ bakery, fruit and vegetable sites. At first the eggs are made available in 60 stores for a 10-month pilot period. //
