REWE GROUP looks at small acquisition in Russia

According to press informations Billa,Austrian unit of Germany's second-largest food retailer REWE Group, has agreed to buy Russian retail chain Nyam-Nyam for $100 million.

Vedomosti, business daily reported that the deal could be closed
at the beginning of September, citing sources from the two Russian
firms that had also bid for Nyam-Nyam. But representative of Rewe
didn't want to answer the question jet.

Nyam-Nyam has 12 retail outlets in Moscow and is preparing to open
two more, according to its Web site.
