László Bódis: Hungary can build on knowledge and creativity in developing its startup ecosystem
Hungary, as a small, open country with limited natural resources, can build on knowledge and creativity, therefore it must be supported to create a successful technological and startup ecosystem, and this can be helped by the Zero One Hundred conference to be held in Budapest in May, said László Bódis, Deputy State Secretary for Innovation, at a press conference in Budapest on Wednesday.

Speaking about the event in May, which will be held with the support of the NIÜ, the head of the National Innovation Agency (NIÜ) said: the conference provides an opportunity for the development of the Hungarian venture capital market and startup ecosystem and for the expansion of financing sources.
The event will allow international investors and venture capitalists to meet with Hungarian market players, which can be beneficial for both parties.
He emphasized:
in order for innovative Hungarian companies to succeed in the global market, it is necessary for all players in the ecosystem to come together
According to László Bódis, the government has supported the development of innovative companies with numerous measures in recent years.
The state must provide a supporting role so that market players – incubators, venture capitalists, business angels – can perform their tasks more actively and effectively, he emphasized.
