Qualifying round for Bocuse d’Or
According to István Pető István, chairman of MNGSZ, the association organising the competition, the fact that 78 participants have entered the first qualifying round for Bocuse d’Or held in Hungary is proof that this competition is truly motivating for Hungarian cooks. The competition had been organised in complete accordance with international rules, which will also be in effect in the final to be held in Norway. However, he regarded the fact that an invitation for the winner, Sándor Kovács to appear on a commercial TV station had been withdrawn as very sad. The winning pair will continue to prepare for the final with the help of international experts who had already competed at Bocuse d’Or successfully.
