More moderate expansion in April
Seasonally adjusted March for Purchasing Managers Index (BMI): 58.9.
Compared to previous April, this year’s value is above the long-term April average (52.1) and the average for the past three years (51.5).
Most of the sub-indices surveyed increased compared to March. The rate of change was not greater than 3.6 percentage points, with only a small decrease.
The value of the employment index remained above 50.0 points this month as well, for the seventh time in a month. The index has been hovering around 50.0 points in recent times, expanding more strongly in April (53.5).
