BMI: Growth slowed down in August
The seasonally adjusted August value of the Purchasing Manager Index (BMI): 57.8.
Compared to the previous August values, this year’s value is higher than the long-term average for this month (52.4) and also surpasses the average of the values for this month of the previous three years (52.1).
Among the sub-indices examined in the survey, we can observe expanding sub-indices with the exception of the transport lead time index. The amount of changes was no greater than 5.3 percentage points.
The value of the employment index is almost 5 percentage points higher this month, showing expansion for the eleventh time. In the past period too, the index hovered around 50.0 points, which now increased more markedly in August (55.5).
