BMI: Intensive expansion in April
The seasonally adjusted April value of the Purchasing Manager Index (BMI): 61.9.
Compared with the previous April values, this year’s value is higher than the long-term average for this month (52.2) and also exceeds the average of the values for this month of the previous three years (56.1). Among the sub-indices examined in the survey, although not all indices show expansion, they all rose in April. In one case, the extent of the changes exceeded ten percentage points. The value of the employment index is 2.5 percentage points higher this month, showing expansion for the nineteenth time. In the past period, the index hovered around 50.0 points, which expanded at a faster rate this month (53.4).
