BMI: Slight decline in September
The seasonally adjusted September value of the Purchasing Manager Index (BMI): 47.4.
Compared to the previous September values, this year’s value is lower than the long-term average for this month (52.6) and also below the average for this month of the previous three years (51.1).
- The sub-indices examined in the survey mostly rose, but the majority of the values show a contraction this month as well.
- The rate of increase exceeded five percentage points in only one case.
- The value of the employment index is 0.6 percentage points lower this month, after an upswing, this month indicates a contraction. In the past period, the index hovered around 50.0 points, which fell back this month (49.8).
