BMI: Slight recovery in February
The seasonally adjusted February value of the Purchasing Manager Index (BMI): 52.2.
Compared to the previous February values, this year’s value is lower than the long-term average for this month (53.1) and also below the average for this month of the previous three years (54.4).
The sub-indices examined in the survey mostly decreased. Most of the sub-indices are in a shrinking range.
The employment index is 2.1 percentage points lower this month, indicating a slight contraction. In the past period, the index hovered around 50.0 points, which decreased this month (49.1).
