BIZERBA in the service of retail sales
When developing the KH-type scales, Bizerba focused on the results of a survey, according to which international retail chains would like to create a more interactive and more interesting shopping environment for their customers. The main objective was to provide shoppers with all the necessary information to be able to choose the perfect product for their needs. Information technology development in the past 10 years opened the way for Bizerba to revolutionise their scales. In 2009, the company came out with the new-generation PC-based scale and the Retail.Impact software. It is equipped with a 12.1” touchscreen LCD display on the service side and either a 7”or a 12.1” display on the customer side. KH scales have a 1.6 GHz Atom processor, 60 GB memory, wireless Ethernet connection and a configurable user display. New-generation Bizerba scales and the Retail.Impact software will radically change the fresh product buying environment: we will be able to provide customers with advertisements (impulses about a product during shopping are more effective – advertisements will run on the side display of Bizerba KH), recipes (these can be printed for customers and attached to the product they bought) and product information (Does the product contain gluten? How high its fat-content is?), all at the point of sale. What is more, they can even recognise products when they are placed on the scales. In case you would like to learn more about this new shopping environment, visit the InterSpar hypermarket at the ALLÉE shopping centre.
