US consumers are confident
The US consumer mood index has improved in June, according to Michigan University’s regular monthly survey, whose preliminary results were published on Friday.
The consumer mood index increased to 99.3 points from the previous month’s 98.0 points. Analysts expected a slight improvement of 98.5 points.
Among the sub-indices, the consumer expectations for the next six months fell to 87.4 points from the 89.1 points of May, while the sub-index reflecting the current situation rose from 111.8 to 117.9 points. (MTI)
