U.S. consumers are optimistic
According to the joint research of the University of Michigan and Thomson Reuters; U.S. consumer sentiment in December was better than expected, ereaching the highest level of the last six months. The overall consumer sentiment indicators rose to 69.9 points from the 64.1 points of November. Analysts expected 68 points for December.
Consumers now expect a 3.1 percent inflation on an annual basis after the 3.2 percent of November included in the survey, while looking ahead to a five-year period a 2.7 percent consumer price inflation rate which corresponds to the forecast of the previous month – reports tozsdeforum.hu.
