European consumers are confident
Consumer confidence strengthened appreciably in the euro zone in November, while in the European Union a slightly less improvement occured – according to the European Commission's preliminary flash estimate that was published on Tuesday.
The sentiment index rose 1.9 points to minus 6.1 points in the 19 euro area countries. Analysts expected a moderate improvement, minus 7.8 points after the minus 8.0 points in October.
In the European Union's 28 member states, the value of the consumer confidence index increased by 0.7 points to minus 5.8 points in November from the minus 6.5 points of October. (MTI)
