Last year, biofuel was produced from 107 million tons of grain in the United States. This is the quarter of the total yield. According to Lester Brown, leader of the Earth Policy Institute; that would be enough to feed 330 million people. The number of hungry in the world is around one billion. Hunger would decrese by one-third, if the needy could use American grain instead of using the grain as fuel – reports szabadfold.hu.
