The Kecskemét-based Univer Product Zrt. installed a biomass boiler with the 307 million HUF support of the New Széchenyi Plan’s Environmental and Energy Operational Programme. The company used to produce steam for heating and technological purposes – the Universite informed MTI on Wednesday.
With the biomass boiler the Univer turned to neutral fuels, instead of using fossil natural gas that is emitting greenhouse gases. Thanks to the introduction of environmentally friendly technology, the company will reduce its annual carbon dioxide emissions by about 3 thousand tons. (MTI)
