The Ministry of Agriculture is creating a biodiversity and gene conservation center
By merging the two prominent gene conservation institutions, the Ministry of Agriculture establishes the National Biodiversity and Gene Conservation Center – Nagy István Minister of Agriculture announced.
Nagy István recalled that in 2017, the ministry developed the gene conservation strategy that the government adopted in 2018. The aim of the initiative is to develop institutions, to support organizations gene bank activities, to support businesses and individuals, and to find and secure rare genetic values found in the Carpathian Basin.
