One of Henkel’s factories in Hungary is closing
The Henkel company has announced that it is carrying out major transformations in its Hungarian production activities. According to the company, changes in consumer demands made it necessary to rethink the production structure, which also affects the Körösladány factory. Until now, liquid detergents have been produced here, but this activity will stop in the coming months and the factory will close permanently by the end of 2024.
During the consolidation, Henkel places great emphasis on supporting the affected employees and will work in close cooperation with the employee representatives and the authorities during the difficult transition period. The products manufactured in Körösladány were primarily exported, so this change will not have a direct impact on the company’s European market presence.
Henkel will concentrate its further production activities in Hungary at the factory in Környe, where the production of multi-technology adhesives will continue.
