Online cash machines are succesful in Croatia
Reported turnover was nearly one-third more in the first month of the operation of the online online cash machine system in Croatia. Thus, the local tax authority is satisfied with the results of the online cashier system, and they expect further improvements, due to the strict inspections started in February.
The use of online cash registers are mandatory in Croatia from 1 January 2013. The government – as in Hungary – expects the supression of gray economy from the introduction of the online cash registers. Since the beginning of the year, the taxpayers, especially caterers, have reported 31 percent more sales in January than a year earlier. (MTI)
