The EU may prohibit the cultivation and marketing of GM products
The European ban on genetically modified foods may be possible – said Fazekas Sándor Rural Development Minister after the meeting of the EU environment ministers.
Currently, the ban is only possible through nationality clauses. Several member states use it, but the EU wants that all of the member states would have legislative level in this topic. Fazekas Sándor summed up the debate: the ban may be possible on the basis of considered reasons – reports szabadfold.hu, after hirado.hu.
