Equilor Befektetési Zrt was awarded the “Investment Service Provider of the Year” award by the Budapest Stock Exchange’s professional jury at the BÉT Legek 2024 awards ceremony. The recognition was given, among other things, because the 35-year-old investment service provider participated as a distributor in the largest stock market issuance of the past 25 years last year, plays a prominent role in the stock exchange’s commodities market section, and develops the Hungarian capital market with its analysis, market making, and educational activities.

After 2021, Equilor Befektetési Zrt was awarded the BÉT Legek “Investment Service Provider of the Year” award in 2024 as well by the Budapest Stock Exchange’s professional jury. The award was given based on the fact that Equilor, which is committed to strengthening the Hungarian capital market and the corporate sector and celebrates its 35th anniversary this year, played a key role as a distributor in the IPO of Gránit Bank in 2024, which was the largest public transaction in the past 25 years.

Bálint Szécsényi, President and CEO of Equilor Investment Co., Ltd., highlighted upon receiving the award: Equilor’s significant role in the capital market is demonstrated by the fact that its experts have been involved in M&A transactions worth more than HUF 3,000 billion in recent decades, while Equilor has also conducted most domestic public takeover bids in the past five years. Equilor is also the only section member to support the domestic commodity exchange, thus playing a prominent role in the development of the commodity market. The new trading conditions developed by the BSE and Equilor came into effect in this market in 2021, and based on experience, market participants are increasingly turning to commodity market opportunities with increasing interest. In addition to all this, Equilor, which has become a dominant player in the domestic bond market in recent decades, promotes Hungarian investment opportunities through a variety of means. It regularly follows events affecting the Hungarian capital market and several companies on the domestic stock exchange with regular analyses, and its experts regularly give presentations at various conferences and educational institutions to promote the development of financial culture. Equilor has published a unique, four-part financial education book series that presents the main characteristics and operation of the foreign exchange, bond, stock and options markets with easy-to-understand examples.
