Auchan distributed milk under the purchase price
Auchan distributed imported, Tatra and Madeta branded Czech milk under the purchase price, therefore, the Agriculture and Rural Development Office (MgSzH) fined the chain for 20.5 million HUF.
Distribution under the purchase price is prohibited by the Agricultural Market Act. According to the legislation; the dealers can not sell food cheaper, than the amount they paid for it.
Recently, several times it has been reported, that some import products are marketed on 115-145 per liter price, while the domestic UHT milk cannot be marketed in retail under 170 to 180 HUF price among, normal market conditions – reports Világgazdaság Online.
