The 2023 budget was submitted to the parliament
The Ministry of Finance’s announcement, in which they write about the details of the decree amendment of the 2023 budget, emphasizes the protection of families and workplaces and the preservation of the value of pensions.
As indicated earlier, the central budget
the total amount of expenditure is HUF 39,758 billion,
total revenue is HUF 36,358 billion,
the deficit is HUF 3,400 billion – this means 8.5 percent of the budget.
The budget adopted in July calculated a deficit of only 2,352 billion, with expenditures of 33,300 billion and income of 30,900 billion: the planned deficit at that time was therefore 7 percent.
Almost fourfold: the amount of the overhead protection fund will increase from HUF 670 billion to HUF 2,610 billion, and pensions – including the thirteenth month – will be increased by fifteen percent.
According to the announcement, the government plans to raise wages in both education and health care, the increased funds intended for family allowances will be kept, and the range of subsidies will also be expanded.
