Waberer’s Group presented its first ESG strategy
Waberer’s Group would combat carbon dioxide emissions with an electric truck fleet, the use of alternative fuels, and the combination of rail and road transport. In addition to the further development of more environmentally friendly services, the company’s first comprehensive group-level ESG strategy also deals with employee diversity and increasing the proportion of female employees.
Last year, Waberer’s Group presented its new business strategy, with which it also formulated a group-level ESG strategy. For years, the company has focused on the development of its sustainable service portfolio and actively responds to topics affecting the sector, such as the labor shortage and the low proportion of female employees, but now for the first time it has organized its goals into a complex unit along ESG aspects. Waberer’s publicly presented its ESG strategy at a women’s day brunch organized exclusively for female partners in an unusual way in the industry.
