Downtown hotel is under construction in Szekszárd

With the close to 700 million HUF investment a 44-seat downtown hotel is under construction in Szekszárd. The foundation stone of the facility was placed on Tuesday in the Tolna county seat.

The investor, the Mészáros Borház Borászati Kft. won 494 million HUF European Union support, which is 70 percent of the 695 million HUF project.

Budai Gyula, Parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Rural Development insisted at the project presentation held before the foundation ceremony that the domestic winemaking industry received nearly 6.5 billion between 2010 and 2013, for structural transformations and between 2014 and 2019 it is scheduled to provide 8.5 billion HUF EU funds to the sector.
