Pig population decreased significantly in Békés county in 2012
According to the datas of the Central Statistics Office (KSH), the pig population of Békés county decreased significantly in 2012. The number of animals was 13 percent less than in the previous year.
According to the latest KSH publication, the pig population of Békés county decreased from 347 thousand to 267 thousand. Nationally, the stock’s decline was less than the 2.5 percent and the number of animals in 2011 was 3 million 25 thousand, while 2 million 956 thousand in 2012. (MTI)
