They rang the bell at Tesco
The beginning of the school year shopping season is already in full swing at Tesco, where customers can choose from a total of more than 3.8 million school supplies.
In addition to the usual offers, the department store chain is also trying to make it easier for the family budget with a 30 percent discount valid between August 10 and 14, which can be used with Clubcard when buying school bags and backpacks. In addition, between August 12 and September 5, in 39 larger Tesco stores across the country, “teaching aunts” will help navigate the choice of school supplies, which can be useful help especially for parents of children who are just starting school. Nearly 700 Tesco employees are in a similar situation, who will receive an extra paid day off on the first of September so that they can accompany their child to the first day of school. In addition to affordable school supplies, the store chain is also supporting the start of school with a clothing sale, offering loyalty card holders a 30 percent discount on F&F children’s clothing products for purchases over HUF 5,000 until August 30.
Tesco started this year’s school season with 2.5 million notebooks, 1.2 million stationery, 60,000 pen holders and 50,000 bags. The department store chain is waiting for customers with an increased product range and special offers until September 11. Until August 9, for example, it offers a HUF 1,500 discount on the purchase of HUF 6,000 worth of stationery, while Clubcard members can take advantage of a 30 percent discount between August 10 and 14 if they buy a school bag or backpack. It is also worth browsing the discount newspapers and the offers found in the Clubcard application, because discounts on back-to-school products are constantly available at Tesco.
