BDO: Digitization is a competitive advantage for companies
The automation and digitization of business processes and related administration, and the exploitation of one’s own data assets, obviously represent a competitive advantage, speed up processes and reduce the possibility of errors. However, companies tend to forget that all these advantages only appear if the individual processes and automations are able to cooperate with each other. The increasing competitive pressure of the current economic environment can make developments that are not sufficiently well thought out more common – the Hungarian BDO Solutions business unit draws attention.

It is not necessary to find the best solutions in each area
The European Investment Bank “Who is prepared for the new digital age?” according to his analysis, digitalization is a major advantage for companies. This is a general truth, while there is a big difference between the efficiency of individual digitized companies even within a segment. The rise of business automation and digitization, which has been gaining ground for years, is being accelerated by the labor shortage and the current world political situation due to the Covid epidemic, but this also increases the chance that the impact of the systems selected for individual tasks on the operation will fall short of expectations as a whole – pointed out Nagy Rita, head of the BDO Solutions business and her colleague, Dániel Kemp, IT expert.
Instead of company-wide business automation processes, “quick-win” is usually at the center of the approach, and in recent years, an unmanageable number of solutions have appeared on the market with the promise of digitizing an area in the best way – this is necessarily true for some. However, during corporate digitization, the “task” is not to find the best solution for each area, Dániel Kemp points out. The operation of companies does not consist of parallel processes, so it is also a mistake to model it in this way.
