Barramundi fish should be bred

There is an enormous economic potential in the barramundi fish. With the breeding of these species Hungary could use its thermal water potential –  wrote the Magyar Hirlap on Friday.

The barramundi, fishes born in salt water and live in fresh water. Stringless, has excellent meat and contains most omega-3 fatty acids among the freshwater fishes. In Hungary only the Halas Kft. of Jászkisér produces these kinds of Australian species in an annual volume of 100 tons- reports MTI.
