Hungary is a poultry grand power

Hungary is still a poultry grand power, but the sector has a number of tasks to be solved, if it wishes to develop its good internal market and export positions – was concluded at the professional conference of the Poultry Product Council.

The conference was held at the University of Debrecen. It has been said that the domestic chicken meat production after the downturn of the 90s reached the 215 and 245 thousand tons per year range again, although it is nowhere near the 350 thousand tons per year range of the late 80's. Last year, 54 percent of the Hungarian poultry production was chicken – reports Világgazdaság Online.
