The poultry sector gives more than 10 percent of the agricultural output
Last year, the poultry sector gave about 13 percent of the total agricultural output – the Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) said on Friday at a professional meeting in Budapest.
Czerván György, the organizer of the Poultry World Day, said that the poultry industry’s output in 2016 was estimated at about 330 billion forints, almost 13 percent of total agricultural output. More than half of Hungarian meat production is produced by the poultry industry. The country’s self-sufficiency level reaches 170 percent of poultry meat. (MTI)
