Retail declines from every point of views
In July, the retail sales fell by 2.2 percent compared to June. Compared to July 2008, by 6.6 percent. In the first seven months of 2009 a 3.7 percent decrease had been occured compared to the same period of 2008 – reports Central Statistical Office.
According to Eurostat’s estimations, the European retail sales volume continued to decline in July 2009. In the EU-27, an average of 0.9 percent decrease in the euro-zone countries a 1.8 percent decrease had been occured. According to the available data, growth was measured in 6, a decrease was measured in 12 member states. Most of the retail sales volume rose in Belgium, in the Baltic States a significant decline was recorded.
