European consumers are increasingly spending on lasting experiences instead of material goods. According to the SpendingPulse Destinations report, experiences already account for 12% of travel spending. For example, English tourists spend 16% of their money on nightlife, which is much higher than the global average (10%), the Money Center points out in a recent article.
