Carrefour prepares for the Conquest of the Balkans
The leaders of French hypermarket chain Carrefour declared, that they join forces with the Greek Marinopoulos Group real estate developer, in order to develop hyper-and supermarkets
in the Balkans.
According to the statement released this week; Carrefour establishes a new venture, which is primarily aimed to expand in Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia.
The new company will be 60 percently owned by Marinopoulos, and 40 percent by Carrefour Marinopoulos, which is the joint venture of Carrefour and Marinopoulos, founded 17 years ago – reports Portfolio.hu., after PropertyEu.
