Balaton Tourism Association: There is hell on the shores of Lake Balaton
In a statement, the Balaton Tourism Association (BTSZ) drew attention to the fact that it is especially important to pay attention to the hosts during the holidays. In the summer heat, which can reach up to 50 degrees Celsius at Lake Balaton, workers in the catering industry work in extremely difficult conditions.
According to the statement, many people compare the conditions of the restaurants in Balaton to the hellish kitchen of the show Hell’s Kitchen. “Gordon Ramsey may be running hell’s kitchen on television, but in reality this hell has also appeared on the shores of Lake Balaton,” the BTSZ statement says. The vice-president of the organization emphasized that caterers often perform their physically demanding work in temperatures of around 40-50 degrees, in hot steam and next to stoves.
BTSZ asks tourists to be more patient and understanding towards the hosts, who do everything to make the vacationers feel good. The organization has published a call asking everyone to express their support for the caterers on social media as well. “Don’t just taste it, but also appreciate the work of the kitchen staff!” – tourists are recommended to use this sentence and the hashtags #tisztelatakonyhanak, #tiszteletapincereknik.
