On June 1st, a new era began in the lives of the Hazai Provence boutique hotel, 84 Bisztró and the Eventrend Group. The purely Hungarian-owned enterprise expanded its portfolio with the two Balaton Uplands facilities.

Hazai Provence will offer programs for its guests throughout the year along a specific concept

Hazai Provence is an 11-room, special-atmosphere jewel box in Kapolcs. Each room of the boutique hotel is built in a unique and different style, radiating a true design lifestyle. The hotel’s wellness department awaits guests with a Finnish and infrared sauna, as well as a heated, deep-water jacuzzi. Managing Director Lívia Rákos emphasized that the accommodation is also excellent for smaller company or large family retreats, because it can easily be made private, so outsiders cannot disturb the meeting.
The small hotel also has its own restaurant, which is none other than the 84 Bisztró, which previously boasted a double Michelin recommendation. The restaurant offers culinary experiences with a seasonally changing menu and gourmet dishes made from local ingredients. Previously, only hotel guests could enjoy the delicacies of 84 Bistro, but it will soon open its doors to passing tourists, hikers, cyclists and guests looking for romance, who can choose from a new menu, with extended opening hours.
Hazai Provence will offer its guests programs throughout the year along a specific concept, which will include everything from garden cinema to wine tastings, from lavender blossom photography to craft workshops.

Gábor Nagy, one of the founders and owners of Eventrend Group, said: the merger of Hazai Provence and 84 Bisztró marks another important milestone in the life of Eventrend. This means that they can address, among other things, a key target group, couples looking for romance and a getaway; this diversity of target groups is a kind of key mission for the company group. Zoltán Kőrössy, another founder and owner of the Hungarian-owned group of companies, added: at the corporate level, it is a mission to be able to offer moments of a lifetime to everyone, be it a family with small children, a backpacker or an art lover on a bike.
The owners summarized: Eventrend Group has restarted its hotel business by signing the operating contract for the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle, which was taken over in May 2024, and is joined by the recently purchased Hazai Provence and the Zichy Park Hotel in Bikács, which will reopen in the fall and undergo a major renovation and expansion, also owned by the company, which mainly awaits families with children with exciting, in-house programs, wellness, and a safe, 15-hectare area – to discharge the endless energies of every little thing. Regarding Zichy Park Hotel, Managing Director Gábor Kusnyár explained: one of the hotel’s special strengths will be the entertaining, educational, and experiential presentation of the fauna, flora, and aquatic world of the Carpathian Basin – in almost every corner of the hotel.
Eventrend Group has more than three decades of experience in operating cafes, restaurants, hotels, and event organization. The group currently has 31 projects and employs more than 1,000 employees. About 20 gastronomic enterprises are affiliated with Eventrend Group, including Gundel Restaurant, New York Café, Centrál Café, Spoon the boat, Főőrség Café, Városliget Café, Séf Asztala, Symbol, Groupama Aréna, and Müpa catering services, as well as the sale of 79 unique event rooms at 24 event venues in Budapest. The founding owners of the group plan to further expand their hotel business.
