Turkish tourism is in trouble
Tourism in Turkey fell to its 1994 levels: in May, 34.67 percent less foreign tourists arrived into the country than in the same month of 2015 – according to the Turkish Cultural and Tourism Ministry’s report on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the number of Hungarian tourists fell to 48.51 percent. While in May 2014, 8165 Hungarians traveled to Turkey, and 9189 in 2015, in May 2016, only 4731 Hungarians chose Turkey as destination. (Szerémy Tamás, MTI)
