This year, the company is extending the family discounts introduced last year to families with one child – reducing the travel price by more than 10 percent – which can be used not only on scheduled boats, but also on cruises and children’s boat programs.

“The increase in the number of cyclists is absolutely amazing,”

– said the CEO. He explained that last year, bicycle-friendly routes and services were defined, and this year the bicycle transportation fee was reduced on both boats and ferries.

According to him, the discounts introduced last year will continue to apply on ferries: those under 14 can travel free of charge by purchasing a car ticket, while large families, pensioners, and young people between the ages of 14 and 25 can purchase a half-price ticket. The digital BAHART card provides up to 15 percent cheaper ferry travel. You can also pay with a SZÉP card, and tickets can be purchased on the online ticket sales platform and through ticket machines in the ports, he listed.

Gábor Veigl said about the flights starting this weekend, that for now, regular flights are running on the two main routes, Fonyód-Badacsony and Siófok-Tihany, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and from the spring break every day. On May 1, traffic will start on additional routes with the addition of the ports of Balatonföldvár, Balatonlelle, Balatonboglár, Balatongyörök, Balatonmáriafürdő, Révfülöp and Szigliget.
