Fish-control for food-safety goes on until early January
Intense and strict controlling of stores and restaurants offering fish started in early December, and will go on until early January: the fine might even surpass millions of forint in case somewthing illegal is found.
Most Hungarian merchants do not folllow the laws – the Ministry of Agricultural Developments pointed out in its recent press-announcement. Several outlets, major retailers were caught this year, the most common problems are linked to non-EU-conform keeping of fish, which are often kept in oxygenless area.
