A decision was born in Brussels on the temporary reduction of EU milk production
The European Union backed temporary cuts in milk production on Monday, in an emergency move intends to tackle excess supply.
The overproduction of milk has been a problem since the EU quotas were abolished in April 2015, triggering a collapse in prices all across the EU.
Phil Hogan, the European commissioner for agriculture, said that there was “a temporary difficulty in demand and supply. I hope these measures will help to bring more stability, but there is no silver bullet.” (MTI)
