EU Member States lose 15 billion euros a year due to counterfeiting
Counterfeiting has cost more than 83 billion euros to legitimate producers worldwide, with EU Member States losing 15 billion euros a year between 2013 and 2017 – according to the report of the European Union’s Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

The National Intellectual Property Office (SZTNH) highlighted in a joint statement with the National Anti-Counterfeiting Board (HENT) that between 2013 and 2017, about 700,000 jobs were lost in the EU due to counterfeiting. (MTI)
