The EU authorities seized 1 billion euros worth counterfeit goods last year
The customs authorities of the EU member states seized 1 billion euros worth (300 billion HUF) counterfeit goods last year mostly from China.
According to the annual report of the European Commission, 64 percent of the counterfeit goods came from China, followed by Hong Kong, Bulgaria and Turkey.
70 percent of the counterfeit goods were found when scanning mails. The product list is led by cigarettes with a 31 percent share ratio, followed by medications with 23 percent. (MTI)
