Milk prices increased in the EU and on the world market
The producer price of raw milk, expressed in national currency, increased by 12 percent in the European Union in August 2025 and by 11 percent in New Zealand compared to the same month of the previous year.

The spot market price of raw milk in Italy decreased by 14.5 euros between weeks 28–40 of 2025, then increased by 0.5 euros to 54.25 euros/100 kilograms by week 42. In the Netherlands, the spot market price of raw milk with a 4.4 percent fat content, excluding VAT and including transport costs, decreased by 25 euros between weeks 28–40 of 2025, increased by 5 euros in week 41, and then decreased by 2 euros to 31 euros/100 kilograms in week 42. In Italy, in the city of Verona, the spot market price of raw milk on October 13, 2025, excluding VAT and shipping costs, was 54.25 euros/100 kilograms, organic milk was 73.5 euros/100 kilograms, raw milk with a fat content of 3.6 percent from Germany and Austria was 49 euros/100 kilograms, skimmed milk was 22 euros/100 kilograms, cream was 280 euros/100 kilograms, and cream from the European Union was 270 euros/100 kilograms. According to AKI PÁIR data, the national average producer price of raw milk in Hungary was 199.88 forints/kilogram in September 2025.
