Instead of reopening, traders on themed streets are fighting for survival
Economic street bailouts could not be taken advantage of by shopping street vendors, according to a current survey by Shopping Street Management (BUM). The management company, which deals with the cooperation and representation of traders, finds that while they survive in Vienna, the shopping streets in Budapest are still close to bankruptcy, most companies are unable to take advantage of the promised subsidies. Examining the Austrian pattern, BUM is trying to help traders say they need to continue to provide the most resources for survival instead of reopening.
