According to AKI PÁIR data, the national average producer price of raw milk in Hungary was HUF 173.21/kilogram in September 2024. In addition to a 0.1 percentage point improvement in fat content and a 0.11 percentage point improvement in protein content, as well as a 2 percent increase in the base price, the average price of raw milk rose by 4 percent in September 2024 compared to August 2024, and exceeded the average price of the same month of the previous year by 13 percent.

The purchase of raw milk in September 2024 fell short of the previous month’s volume by 4 percent, while it exceeded September 2023 by 5 percent. The export price of raw milk was HUF 212.85/kilogram in September 2024, an increase of 7 percent compared to the previous month and 30 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. The export price was 23 percent higher than the average producer price.

According to KSH data, pasteurized 2.8 percent fat box ESL milk (+13 percent), 2.8 percent fat box UHT milk (+9 percent), 20 percent fat sour cream (+7 percent), portioned butter (+6 percent), pasteurized ESL milk with 1.5 percent fat (+5 percent), Trappist cheese (+3 percent), fruit yogurt (+2 percent) and sour cream with 12 percent fat (+1 percent) ) consumer price rose in the same comparison.
