Soft drink and fruit juice consumption fell by 10 percent last year
Hungarian soft drink and fruit juice consumption decreased by 10 percent last year – the Association of Hungarian Soft Drinks, Juices and Mineral Water Manufacturers told MTI on Thursday.
According to datas of the association, the average consumption of carbonated soft drinks was 54.6 liters per person last year. This value was almost 57 liters in 2011. Hungarians consumed less from juices as well: 20.4 liters per person last year, compared to the previous year’s 23.7 liters.
The domestic market for non-alcoholic drinks has been shrinking for years – except mineral water – due to the unfavorable processes that has accelerated dramatically since 2008. (MTI)
