Uber to buy alcohol delivery service Drizly
Uber Technologies Inc is to pay USD 1.1 billion for on-demand alcohol platform Drizly, as the company seeks to expand delivery services that have flourished during the pandemic. Uber’s acquisition of Drizly will allow the company to offer beer, wine and spirits in most US states – in addition to the groceries, package and prescription delivery services it recently launched in some cities.
