The five percent VAT increase accelerated inflation in Romania
In Romania, the annual inflation of November was 7.7 percent after October’s two year record of 7.9 percent – states the country's statistical office.
The November figure is slightly lower, than the 7.8 percent expected by experts. The monthly level of inflation in November was 0.52 percent,after the 0.6 percent of October. Food prices increased by 0.9 percent, non-food products’ prices increased by 0.4 percent, while service prices increased by 0.2 percent in November compared to October – reports ProfitLine.hu.
